SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the operating instructions carefully before using the LED light (hereinafter referred to as ‘the light’) and in particular the safety instructions. Failure to observe these instructions may result in serious damage to the light. Keep these operating instructions in a safe place for future reference and use. If you pass the light on to a third party, be sure to pass on these operating instructions. This notice contains important information on commissioning and handling. The operating instructions are based on the standards and regulations of the European Union. Please also observe the country-specific directives and laws in other countries.
EXPLANATIONS OF THE SYMBOLS
Declaration of Conformity. Products labelled with this symbol comply with all applicable legal regulations of the European Economic Area.
Declaration of Conformity for Great Britain. Products labelled with this symbol comply with all applicable UK legislation.
This symbol indicates the IP class of the light.
This symbol indicates that the light corresponds to protection class II.
This symbol indicates that the light corresponds to protection class III.
This symbol indicates that the device (e.g. charger) may only be used in dry rooms.
This symbol indicates that the light can be dimmed.
This symbol indicates that the batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
This symbol indicates that the old appliance must not be disposed of with household waste.
The symbol including additional icons indicates that the product, packaging, etc. can be recycled according to the instructions and that the components must be disposed of separately.
This symbol indicates a hazard with medium risk which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
This symbol indicates a low-risk hazard which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
SAFETY
Intended use
The light is designed exclusively for indoor and outdoor use at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C. It is for private use only and not for commercial applications. Only use the light as described in these operating instructions; any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury. The light is not a toy for children. The designer, manufacturer or dealer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use.
Danger of electric shock!
- Do not operate the light if it shows signs of visible damage or if the mains cable and/or plug is or appears to be defective.
- Only connect the light if the mains voltage of the socket matches the mains voltage specified on the rating plate.
-To avoid danger from a damaged USB charging cable, the manufacturer or dealer must have it replaced by their service staff or a similarly qualified person.
- Do not attempt to open the housing. Only have it repaired by a technician. Contact a specialised workshop. Liability and warranty claims are excluded in the event of unauthorised repairs, improper connections or improper operation. When carrying out repairs, only use parts that correspond to the original device data. This light contains electrical mechanical parts that are essential for protection against sources of danger.
- Do not immerse the light or the USB charging cable in water or other liquids.
- Never touch the USB plug with wet hands.
- Never pull the USB plug out of the charging socket via the USB charging cable. Always pull on the USB plug.
- Keep the light and the USB charging cable away from flames and hot surfaces.
- Never use the USB charging cable as a carrying handle.
- Use the USB charging cable in such a way that it cannot be tripped over.
- Never store the light in such a way that it could fall into a bath, sink or pool.
- Do not bend the USB charging cable and do not place it over sharp edges.
- Never reach for an electrical device if it has fallen into water.
- If you are not using or cleaning the light and if a fault occurs, always switch off the light and unplug the USB charging cable from the charging socket.
- Make sure that children cannot place any objects in the light.
Hazards for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities (e.g. partially disabled, elderly persons with reduced physical and mental capabilities) or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children). The light can be used by children aged eight years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the light in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the light.
- Do not allow children to play with the packaging film. Children can become entangled in it and suffocate while playing.
- Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out without the supervision of children.
- Do not leave the light unattended during operation.
- Keep children under the age of eight away from the light and the connecting cable.
Explosion and fire hazard!
Improper handling of the light and battery can cause an explosion and/or fire.
- Only charge the light using the accessories supplied and ensure that the voltage specified in these instructions is observed.
- Do not cover the light or the USB plug with objects or clothing.
- Keep the light away from water, other liquids, naked flames and hot surfaces.
- Keep a distance of at least 5 cm from flammable materials.
- Do not expose the light to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire, etc.
Danger of chemical burns!
- Leaking battery fluid can cause chemical burns if it comes into contact with the skin or other parts of the body.
- Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes if battery fluid escapes. Rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately.
- In the event of a leaking battery, ensure that protective gloves are worn and remove any spilt battery fluid with a dry, absorbent cloth.
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the light can damage it.
- The light source in the luminaire cannot be replaced. When the light source has reached the end of its service life, replace the entire light.
- Never place the light and the USB charging cable in contact with or near hot parts or surfaces such as oven hobs, etc.
- Always place the light on an easily accessible, dry, heat-resistant and stable surface. Do not place the light near or on the edge of a surface to avoid the risk of falling.
- Stop using the light if the plastic components of the light are cracked, scored or deformed.
- Do not expose the light to prolonged inclement weather (rain, snow, etc.).
Risk of injury!
The light from the LED is very bright and looking directly at it can damage your eyes.
