1. Subject of the guarantee

Sompex grants you a warranty within Europe over and above the statutory warranty for the LED boards installed in the luminaire you have purchased in accordance with the following regulations. These are the electronic components on which the LEDs of the luminaire are mounted. If, contrary to expectations, the LED board should become defective, you can make use of this guarantee under the following conditions. 

The extended guarantee applies exclusively to products marked with our guarantee seal.  The seal is enclosed with the product in the packaging. The entitlement to the extended warranty expires for all our products on 31.12.2024.
 
Your statutory warranty claims, which you can make free of charge in the event of a defect, are not restricted by this additional warranty.

2. Assertion of your rights

1. In the event of a defect during the first two years from the date of purchase, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased the luminaire. He will take care of rectifying the defect, even if the LED board is affected.
2. From the third year from the date of purchase until the end of the fifth year from the date of purchase, you can contact us directly in the event of a defect in the LED board. To do so, please first send us an e-mail stating your name and address as well as the name of the luminaire and the date of purchase to this address: service@sompex.de. We will then send you a confirmation, which you should print out and send in with the luminaire. Then please send the luminaire securely packaged and postage paid, enclosing the printout of our confirmation and the original purchase receipt to the following address:

   On receipt of the luminaire, we will examine it and, in the event of a defect, repair or replace the LED board at our discretion. If a replacement of the LED board is not possible, we reserve the right to replace the luminaire by sending a new or as good as new identical luminaire.

   If repair or replacement is not possible because neither the required spare parts nor replacement luminaires are available due to the passage of time, we will refund 60% of the purchase price paid by you in the third year from the date of purchase, 40% in the fourth year and 20% in the fifth year

3. Defects of the LED board due to the effect of overvoltage or improper handling are excluded from the guarantee.
